How to Resolve the Qbmfct32.dll Error

If you received the qbmfct32.dll error, the first thing you need to determine is if it is a legitimate Windows DLL error. The chances are it is legit, but many rogue viruses and spyware like to pretend to be DLL errors.

Checking the legitimacy of the qbmfct32.dll error

1. First, do you have QuickBooks for Windows by Intuit, Inc.?

a. The error stems from the program. If you do not have the program, then it is a good sign you have malware and need to resolve it.

b. To check for malware, you can run a free scan. SpyZooka offers one and along with a few other places online.

2. Second, right click the application. Then click properties. The description will tell you who made it. If it doesn't say QuickBooks, then it isn't legit.

When it comes to fixing registry errors
, there are three ways you can go about doing it. We will start out with the hardest and work our way down to the easiest.

Fixing it yourself with "regedit"

While I do not know anyone who actually does fix registry errors this way, it can technically be done by hand. Click start, then run and type in "regedit." This is as far as I will tell you since going any further is likely to turn your computer into an expensive paperweight. If you could do it this way, you would not be reading this, sorry.

Taking your computer to a "professional"

Up until probably about five or so years ago, I probably would have recommended this procedure to fix registry errors but not anymore. Frankly, there is no need because what they will do, you can do in your own home.

They will take your computer behind the big trash bags (static protectors) and insert a disk to clean up your registry. Why? Because even these fools no better than to mess with the registry. See what I mean. They won't do a "regedit," so why on earth would you?

Option three using a registry cleaner

If you do a little searching online, you will notice that you can find dozens of free registry cleaners. STOP! Some of them are good but watch out. Some are notorious spyware mongers.

Pay a few bucks and get one that has a guarantee to work against errors such as qbmfct32.dll. Get one backed up by the Better Business Bureau and your computer will be running better in no time.
